What GER40 is.

GER40 tracks 40 large German companies and is one of Europe's most traded index CFDs.

When it moves.

The Frankfurt cash open at 07:00 UTC (08:00 in winter) brings the most volatility.
Eurozone data and ECB decisions can move it sharply.
It often reacts to US index moves in the afternoon.

Sizing.

GER40 can move hundreds of points in a day. Check the contract size in MT5 and calculate value per point before entering, so one trade cannot breach your daily loss limit.
