Prop firm challenge reset fees

Compare challenge resets, retries and new evaluations, including total fees and what does not carry over after failure.

Reset and retry do not always mean the same thing

A reset generally restarts an existing evaluation, while a retry may mean buying a new one. Providers can use these labels differently. Before paying, check whether the purchase creates a fresh account, keeps the previous login or preserves any history.

Do not assume a free retry is included because the entry fee is low. Read the checkout and programme terms for the specific entitlement, any deadline and the conditions attached to it.

Budget the number of attempts, not one advertised price

A low entry cost is the price of one attempt, not a promise that one attempt will be enough. Repeated entries can accumulate while the account still has no reward eligibility.

When comparing providers, separate evaluation payments, optional reset costs and any post-pass activation fee. A discount on the first checkout may not apply to subsequent attempts. Compare the total cost under a realistic scenario rather than choosing purely by the biggest nominal account.

Understand MixFunded PAPP after a failed attempt

A failed PAPP evaluation does not make the post-pass activation fee payable. The entry payment has paid for that evaluation attempt; another evaluation is a separate purchase. Do not treat a failed account as an approved account awaiting activation.

Before starting again, review the recorded breach and your risk plan. Repeating the same position size and exposure under the same conditions can repeat the same problem. A fresh evaluation changes the account state, not the behaviour that produced a loss.

Ask what happens to progress and pending payments

Clarify whether a reset removes profit, trading days, open positions and previous statistics. If a payment already exists for a replacement attempt, have support check it before buying another one.

Keep the original order reference, payment receipt and account login. Buying again is not a refund request and should not be used to resolve an unexplained payment delay. Read the refund policy and contact support about disputed transactions separately.
