What a futures prop firm gives you.
A futures evaluation puts you on exchange-listed contracts — index futures, energy, metals, rates — with standardised contract sizes and fixed tick values. Pricing comes from the exchange, so every participant sees the same book, and micro contracts make small position sizes practical.
The trade-offs are cost and rules. Most futures firms bill monthly for the evaluation and pass on platform or market-data fees, and most enforce a trailing maximum loss limit that follows your equity peak upward. Sessions are also exchange-bound, with daily maintenance breaks rather than continuous trading.
What a CFD prop firm gives you.
- Forex majors, minors and crosses, metals, indices and crypto in one account.
- Position size in lots, so risk scales in fine increments without contract minimums.
- MetaTrader 4 and MetaTrader 5 — existing EAs, indicators and templates carry across.
- Continuous trading through the week rather than exchange session breaks.
- A one-off evaluation fee instead of a monthly subscription.
Compare the four things that decide the outcome.
- Cost path: monthly subscription and data fees, or a one-off fee with no re-bill.
- Drawdown definition: trailing off your equity peak, or a fixed floor — and whether it is measured on equity or balance.
- Time pressure: a deadline that forces size, or no time limit at all.
- Proof of payment: whether the firm can show you settled payouts you can verify yourself.
Which one you should pick.
If your edge is in index or energy futures, or you want exchange-standard pricing and micro contracts, use a futures firm. We do not offer futures and will not pretend otherwise.
If you trade forex, metals, indices or crypto, want MT4 or MT5, and would rather pay once than subscribe, a CFD evaluation fits better. Ours has no time limit and no consistency rule, uses a fixed 8% maximum drawdown rather than a trailing high-water mark, and settles rewards every Monday in USDT (TRC-20) with every transaction published on the public ledger.
