MixFunded vs The5ers

The5ers is one of the original prop firms, running since 2016 with five program paths. The real differences are what a failed attempt costs you, what split you start on, and whether you can verify rewards independently.

Which one fits you

Pick The5ers if you want a firm with a long track record, plan to scale toward its higher tiers, and are comfortable starting on a 50% split on the cheaper programs.

Pick MixFunded if you would rather cap the cost of a failed attempt. $5 puts you on a $50,000 Pay After Passing evaluation; the $150 activation fee is due only after you pass. Standard programs pay 80/20 from the first reward, every Monday in USDT (TRC-20), and each transfer is published with its transaction ID.

If your strategy produces one outsized day, note that The5ers' 2-Step switches a 50% consistency rule on once you are funded — MixFunded does not run one on standard programs.

What you pay, and when

The5ers charges the program fee before you trade. Its cheapest published route is the $95 Bootcamp $100,000 1-Step; the High Stakes $100,000 2-Step is $495. Smaller accounts cost less, but the payment model is the same in every case.

MixFunded gives you two shapes. Standard evaluations are paid up front and priced from $45 ($10,000) to $299 ($100,000). Pay After Passing charges $5 to start a $50,000 evaluation and defers the $150 activation until after a pass, which caps the cost of a failed attempt at $5.

Profit split from day one

The5ers starts Bootcamp and Hyper Growth traders on a 50% split, scaling toward 100% at higher tiers. That means the cheapest entry also pays you the smallest share of what you make.

MixFunded pays 80/20 on standard programs from the first reward. Instant Funded starts at 60/40 and scales to 80/20 after three rewards.

Rewards you can audit

The5ers pays bi-weekly after funding, once you reach at least $250 in profit, and does not publish a per-reward transaction ledger.

MixFunded settles every Monday in USDT on the TRC-20 network and publishes each reward — date, trader initials, amount and TXID — on a public ledger with an open JSON feed for automated checks. £517K has been distributed to MixFunded traders since December 2024, and every pound of it is traceable on-chain.

Rules and platforms

The5ers runs on MetaTrader 5 and cTrader with no time limit on evaluations. News trading is allowed except bracket strategies around news on some programs, and the 2-Step applies a 50% consistency rule once you are funded.

MixFunded runs on MetaTrader 4 and MetaTrader 5 with no time limit, allows news trading on every program with no blackout windows, permits expert advisors, and applies no consistency rule on standard programs.
