Prop firm daily reset

Understand daily loss resets, time-zone differences and overnight positions before trading a MixFunded account.

Separate the platform clock from the rule clock

The time displayed beside a candle or trade can be the broker server’s time rather than UTC. Your phone may show a third time zone. A daily-loss rule must be interpreted using its stated reset clock, not whichever clock is most convenient.

MixFunded uses a UTC trading-day boundary for daily-loss tracking. The local hour corresponding to midnight UTC changes with your time zone and may change with daylight-saving time. For example, midnight UTC is 01:00 in London during British Summer Time and 00:00 during winter.

A reset is not a new account

A new daily period does not erase trading history, remove an overall drawdown limit or reinstate an account that already breached. It changes the daily reference period; other programme conditions continue to apply.

Review both the daily and overall thresholds before an overnight session. More daily headroom does not mean more overall headroom. A trader close to the overall floor can remain close after midnight.

Open trades still carry equity risk

An open position is not made harmless by crossing the day boundary. Floating losses, spread widening and gaps can push equity below a threshold even when no trade has been closed.

Check account equity and the current dashboard loss levels rather than looking only at closed profit. If dashboard readings and the terminal appear inconsistent, record both with timestamps and contact support before adding exposure.

Keep a record when asking for a review

Provide the account login, programme, UTC date and approximate time of the disputed event. Include a statement or screenshot showing equity and open positions, not only an ending balance.

A helpful review request asks for the reference balance, applicable threshold and equity at the recorded breach. It should not assume that a later recovery cancels a previous violation. Read the risk-rule guide and your account’s current rules before making a purchase or carrying trades overnight.
