MixFunded vs Maven Trading

One of the few firms that, like MixFunded, lets you start an evaluation for $5 and pay the rest only after you pass. The differences are in the drawdown you get during the evaluation, the rules on funded accounts, and whether rewards are independently verifiable.

Which one fits you

Pick Maven Trading if you want the lower 4% evaluation target on its Buy Now, Pay Later challenge and are comfortable with news restrictions once funded.

Pick MixFunded if you want more room during the evaluation and fewer surprises after it. Pay After Passing is $5 on a $50,000 account with a fixed $150 activation after a pass, news trading is allowed on every program, and rewards settle every Monday in USDT (TRC-20) with each transfer published on-chain.

If you trade around economic releases, note that Maven restricts news trading on funded accounts — MixFunded does not, on any program.

The $5 entry, side by side

Maven's Buy Now, Pay Later challenge starts at $5 with a 4% profit target, a 10% maximum drawdown and no daily drawdown limit during the evaluation; the remaining challenge fee is paid after you pass.

MixFunded's Pay After Passing starts at $5 on a $50,000 account with a 10% target, 3% daily and 8% maximum drawdown, and a fixed $150 activation fee after you pass — so the total cost of funding is known before you place a trade.

Standard evaluations

Maven's standard evaluations start from $13 on small accounts, with a 3% daily loss limit and a 5%–8% static maximum drawdown depending on the plan.

MixFunded's standard evaluations are priced from $45 ($10,000) to $299 ($100,000), with a 5% daily and 10% maximum drawdown on the 2-Step, and a single 10% target on the 1-Step.

Rules on funded accounts

Maven restricts news trading on funded accounts, even though it is unrestricted during the evaluation. No formal consistency rule is documented.

MixFunded allows news trading on every program with no blackout windows, permits expert advisors, and applies no consistency rule on standard programs.

Rewards you can audit

Maven pays on demand after KYC, with processing taking several business days, and does not publish a per-reward transaction ledger.

MixFunded settles every Monday in USDT on the TRC-20 network and publishes each reward — date, trader initials, amount and TXID — on a public ledger with an open JSON feed for automated checks. £517K has been distributed to MixFunded traders since December 2024, and every pound of it is traceable on-chain.
